The sleek surface is perfect for hardcore gamers who need that extra bit of precision. This mousepad is flawless when it comes to precision. The quality of precision is not dependent on the Steelseries SX, but upon the users guiding it."

"The all new SX is one of those mats that you just can't help staring at. It not only looks great, but also feels different than any other mat I have ever tried. I spent almost 30 minutes examining the surface for visible faults, but there were none. The finish is in other words perfect, no bumps, no dents, nothing besides a perfectly flat polished surface. When it comes to durability this aluminum mat is a bit ahead of the competition. The surface itself is actually quite hard to scratch and bend so this mat should outlive a gaming grade mouse or two. The rubber base is really durable and is glued to the aluminum piece in such a way that it's impossible to tear off. Overall the combination of a natural rubber base and aluminum top makes for an extremely durable combo. This is the first ever hard mouse mat I have had where the finish was perfect. I tried to find flaws on the surface, but there were none to find."

"As I sit down to write this conclusion, it is clear that the SteelSeries SX pad is by far one of the best surfaces I've ever used. You simply will not believe how smooth it is until you hold it yourself. In-game, when the sensitivity is configured properly, I found the accuracy to be exceptionally good and tracking opponents much smoother than before. Overall, I feel that the SX is a major step up in terms of quality over other mats on the market. It is aimed at the “serious" gamer and therefore is priced at the higher end. Using the SX is like gliding on air and no other mouse mat can compare"
