Reviews and awards for SteelSeries 4H:

English video-review by 3DGameMan (Rating: GREAT)

"Both the SteelSound 3H and 4H headsets offer great bang for the buck. The 3H headset is targeted at the budget market, but great if you need an inexpensive, small, foldable headset for a LAN party. The 4H has a little better sound quality, larger earcups, and is more comfortable, but it's not foldable like the 3H."

English review by ThinkComputers (Rating: 9/10)

"If you have used the SteelSound 5H you know they are one of the best gaming headsets out there. The 4H is basically a slimmed down version of the 5H so you still get some great quality and features. The thing I really like about the 4H is the comfort level. It has the same XL ear cushions that the 5H has along with a nice headband cushion. With all the headsets in this series the retractable microphone is great. When you don't need it it's not there and when you need it you just pull it out and you're good to go. The sound quality while gaming is good and the way the headset drowns out outside noise is perfect for gaming."

English review by XSReviews (Rating: 4/5)

"When SteelSound said that they had made a 'simplified version' of the 5H v2, what they actually mean is that they made a headset that performs the same (same audio quality) but with a lower price and hence a product that isn't as durable or as professionally manufactured. That said, there are gains in the bass department."

English review by Dev Hardware (Rating: Dev Hardware Gold Award)

"I award the SteelSeries SteelSound 4H a rating of 9 out of 10, and Dev Hardware's GOLD award. If you demand quality, but don't need the extra bells and whistles of the SteelSound 5H v2, then the SteelSound 4H is definitely worth checking out."

English review by PlanetX64 (Rating: 18.5/20 - Best on The Planet Award)

"The SteelSeries 4H were incredibly comfortable while in use and I could wear them for hours without complaint. The headband sits nicely and the ear cushions completely covered my ears. Add to all of this, the low price point and they are a good accessory to have for those all night gaming sessions or long VOIP conversations. The SteelSeries 4H will definitely be replacing my Sennheiser set - thumbs up from me."

English review by techPowerUp! (Rating: 9.5/10 - techPowerUp! Recommended)

"The SteelSound 4H is a really good headset that comes with a decent price tag. The price performance ratio is at the very top, due to the good audio performance in games and the durable yet lightweight construction. The design is really nice and the headset is one of the most comfortable on the market. It is low-weight and the padding is at the right places. With an unrivaled price/performance ratio I can definitely recommend this headset to any gamer wanting a decent headset at a really good price."

English review by Tweaknews (Rating: Tweaknews Great Product)

"So, you want a 5H V2 but are a little short on cash? Then the 4H should be right up your alley. With all the same specifications as the 5H V2 the 4H is definitely a contender."

English review by Bjorn3d (Rating: 8.5/10 - Bjorn3d.com Seal of Approval)

"I think that a gaming headset not only has to be able to produce nice sounds, it also has to be comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The SteelSeries 4H certainly meets both of these requirements. The headset is durable and well constructed with nice features, such as an in-line controller and microphone level adjustment. Overall, the SteelSound 4H headset is an excellent choice for any gamers out there who need a good gaming headset for all those long nights of fearsome gaming. They would also be an excellent choice for casual music listeners out there as well."

English review by DreamWare Computers (Rating: 9/10 - DWC Recommended)

"SteelSeries has done a great job coming out with a mid-range priced gaming headset. The 4H offers great bang for your buck and won't let you down in looks or performance. Sharing a lot of features with the 5H such as retractable mic, volume control clip and large padded ear cups and headband, you have nothing to worry about if you can't afford the 5H over it's little brother the 4H."
